The Lagos state police command paraded some suspects said to be involved in car snatching in the state. Addressing reporters while parading the suspects Imohimi Edgal, commissioner of police in the state, said the suspects usually use number plates to take away stolen vehicles out of the state without being noticed.
“The suspects confessed that they are based in Kaduna but they come to Lagos to snatch vehicles at gun point.
They were first arrested between the 24th and 28th of February 2018. Investigation into this case is still ongoing.
Meanwhile, the first suspect arrested, Opeyemi Ogundeji, has been charged to Ikorodu Magistrate court II and is now remanded in prison custody.
Other suspects related to this case will equally be charged to court and justice will be done certainly.
Edgal warned criminals to stay away from the state.
