Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu on Sunday joined hundreds of Muslim Faithfuls, in the funeral prayer of a businessman and motor-dealer, Alhaji Abbas Sahabi Cashier at the Emir’s Palace Juma’at Mosque Birnin Kebbi.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari says, the Governor also visited family house of the deceased, where he prayed Allah to grant the late Abbas eternal rest and family fortitude to bear the loss.
Others who attended the rites include Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, Alhaji Sambo Gwandu (Rtd) Comptroller Immigration, Commissioners, Advisers, Head of Service, Abubakar Udu Idris, Justice Saddiq Umar, Justice Sama’ila Haruna Rasheed, Former Commissioner of Finance in the former Sokoto State, Alhaji Tukur Usman, Judges, Khadis, Members of Emirate Councils, District Heads, Politicians and top government functionaries.
Until his death late Abbas was a motor-dealer and power bike marketer with Gamzaki motors.
He died in power bike accident along Jega-Maiyama road on Saturday.
Aged 51, he left behind two wives, twelve children and relations among whom is the Kebbi State Accountant General, Alhaji Ibrahim Three-Three.
